Selecting the "right" therapist can be a challenging process. I believe that the relationship between client and therapist begins with the establishment of trust and a desire to grow. I enjoy working with adults, couples, and families and view the therapeutic relationship as a catalyst for change in a client's life. I value authenticity, empathy, humor, respect for self and other, and hold space for these values in session. My client caseload tends to deal with issues surrounding masculinity, relational conflict, self-worth, substance abuse, sexuality, and persons struggling to find meaning.
I believe much of who we are comes from the family of origin and the process by which we distinguish between self from the other. I strive to meet my clients where they are, holding space for exploration of self, empowerment for growth, and the reclamation of their joy for life and relationships.
I stand by authenticity and transparency. Once a client feels safe, heard, respected, and valued in therapy, they can begin to heal, improve their quality of life, and become a better version of themselves.
