Self discovery is an ongoing journey that happens no matter where we are in life, but it’s not always one we consciously get to choose. Growing up takes time; growing together takes work. Over the course of years, if we're being honest with ourselves and each other, some issues will naturally start to arise as we change. The clients I work with are usually trying their best; for themselves, for others, and for each other. It's not a question of "Are we going to make it?" but "Okay, what's going on? How can we get through this?"

I enjoy and have success helping clients explore their needs, wants, and identities. Together, we question what to keep and what to change. My approach is a combination of trauma-informed and evidence-based therapies (i.e CPT, DBT, ERP). My therapeutic style and personality is very transparent, honest, humorous, and open-minded. I have a flexible structure in session that allows for us to target whatever you need at the moment—whether it’s practical solutions or more gradual exploration.

My clients appreciate that I am someone with lived experience and clinical training in the issues I work with. I know firsthand how wonderful and rewarding it is–and, at times, how painful and challenging these circumstances can be. I love working with individuals from complicated, multigenerational families. I relate to those in interfaith and interracial relationships. With me, clients have discovered how to navigate difficult conversations and boundaries.

If you’re reading this, you’ve already done a lot more to help yourself than you think. I want to take a moment to appreciate that. None of this is easy. Wanting things to change is very different from accepting or choosing to do something about it. You're doing great. And you're not going to be doing it alone. Let's talk.
