Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist #96698
There are times in life when we could all use a little additional support. During challenging times, it may help to give yourself some room, in a nonjudgmental environment, to sort out confusing feelings, thoughts and behaviors that make you feel like you’re getting nowhere.
My orientation as a therapist is mainly contemporary relational gestalt. This is a person-centered approach focused on the here and now with sensitivity to the ways in which the past informs the present. My approach is also informed by the use of Psychodynamic, Somatic Experiencing, CBT, Trauma Resiliency and Mindfulness Practices.
I believe positive change occurs in the context of a collaborative relationship where you can feel comfortable enough to explore whatever is on your mind, including things that may be blocking the path to the quality of life you are seeking. During therapy, we will be looking not at what’s wrong with you, but rather what inadequate support systems in your life have prevented you from experiencing yourself as fully as you might like.
I would welcome the opportunity to work together to discover a previously untapped reservoir of internal resources that can empower you to be effective in ways that are important to you in your life.
