September is National Suicide Prevention Month!
National Suicide Prevention Month:
The month of September is dedicated to creating awareness around one of the leading causes of death, suicide. Acknowledging that every individual has mental health is the first step in taking care of ourselves and others.
In 2022, 1.2 million Americans attempted suicide, and an estimated 45,900 were successful, equalling a death by suicide every 11 minutes. With this number steadily increasing, our mental health has never been more prominent.
Suicide can be preventable, and everyone has a role to play! By taking time to support yourself and those around you, we can work towards a healthier and stronger community.
Please review the slide above for some tips, tricks, and resources on how we can support ourselves and those around us!
