Telehealth Sessions
Telehealth has opened the door for unlimited access to great therapy. Therapy via online video, phone, or any other electronic means is considered telehealth. The convenience of telehealth is unmatched. There is no more driving to your appointment in a rush from work or a long day, no hassles with parking, no more added time to commute home in traffic. Have your session done in the privacy of your own home, office, or any other space that can accomodate privacy. All that is necessary is a space for session that is comfortable, allows conversation to be confidential, and has good wifi. Telehealth also allows clients to work with a therapist in different parts of the state. This allows for a broader range of therapists to choose from. For example, a client may reside in Sacramento and work with a therapist located in Los Angeles. It is also ideal for clients that travel often.

In Person Sessions
In-person therapy was the gold standard at one time. While telehealth has made therapy much more accessible to all, in-person therapy creates a connection between you and your therapist that can be challenging to recreate over video. Some our therapists have a hybrid approach to meeting with clients. They may do part time in the office and part time over telehealth. The largest benefit of in-person sessions is when young children are the primary client. Working with young children often takes the form of play therapy. Although it can be successful over video, nothing beats playing with a young child in real life. Everyone has a preference for how they want to meet their therapist for weekly sessions.
