While people are different and seek the services of a psychotherapist for different reasons, I believe that people reach out for help because they're experiencing some kind of pain. Sadness, hopelessness, confusion, and fear, these are all different types of emotional pain. The results of these pains are often remarkably similar: anxiety, depression, stress, destructive patterns of thinking and behavior. They all interfere with living our authentic lives

As a therapist, I come alongside my clients, walking with them through their first, potentially frightening, steps toward growth and onto helping them face, understand, then manage and heal from their pain. I am committed to assisting each client to live his/her/their life to the greatest and fullest potential possible. As C.S. Lewis once said, “There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.”

I care for my clients by giving them my complete attention in every session, actively listening first, then responding with engaging questions and thoughtful observations. While promoting a nurturing and non-judgmental environment both in the office and behind the screen, sessions are designed to create progress towards the goals we established together. Whether my client is struggling with distorted thinking, emotion-driven behaviors, or questions about who they or their direction in life, we accomplish this through the application of evidence-based practices drawn from a variety of therapeutic approaches including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Attachment Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).
