My clients often feel like “If anyone knew the real me, no one would accept me”. Throughout life, we continually revisit and re-negotiate our understanding of the experiences that have shaped us. It’s especially hard if you’ve been impacted by unique circumstances such as international/domestic adoption, multi-cultural family, or even just the experience of being a minority in America. I am passionate about helping my clients explore the intersections of adoption, racial/ethnic identity, childhood trauma, confidence, and major life transitions. I provide a warm and safe space that allows clients to explore their authentic self. Together, we identify your challenges, utilize your strengths, and cultivate the confidence in yourself to live a more intentional and satisfying life.

In sessions, I work from a perspective that asks, “What in your past has brought you here?” not “What is wrong with you?”. It is from this perspective that we shift into a more realistic, complete, and compassionate insight of how you arrived “here” and how to get you where you want to be. My clients appreciate how this shift creates insight of how their emotions or past experiences impact their current life and major decisions. I use evidence-based approaches and strongly believe at the foundation of all effective therapy lies a certain trust in the therapist to be non-judgmental and accepting. An experience I very much hope to convey with all of my clients. My clients can rely on this security while also expecting to leave with practical tools that build on their strengths and make lasting change outside of therapy.

No matter how deeply dissatisfying your behaviors, relationships, or emotions, change is absolutely possible. I can help you believe that. It’d be a privilege to join you in this work. If I seem like the right fit, please use the link below to schedule a free, 15 min consultation. I am Out-of-Network with insurance, but we will file claims for your reimbursement so you don't have to!
