We all have profound capabilities for change, and I am here to support and honor that process with deep compassion, uplifting enthusiasm, and a growth mindset. My work as a therapist is dedicated to empowering youth, strengthening families, and navigating life’s challenges together through empathy, connection, and the use of therapeutic techniques supported by research.
My approach and philosophy are guided by viewing my clients through both a strength-based and multicultural lens, where I focus on nurturing positive attributes and talents rather than concentrating solely on problems or deficits. By fostering these strengths, my clients are empowered to utilize their unique skills and abilities to overcome challenges, build resilience, and enhance their self-esteem, leading to more positive and productive behaviors and outcomes. I employ a holistic framework combining evidence-based practices (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy) with a creative and playful approach that is unique to each client.
I am passionate about working with children of all ages, teens, young adults, and families on their journeys to grow, thrive, and create lasting change. I treat those that present with: Anxiety (Generalized, Social, Obsessive-Compulsive, Separation, Phobias), Depression, Disruptive behaviors, ADHD, Autism, Mood and Emotional Dysregulation.
I also provide trauma-focused treatment (TF-CBT, Trauma Focused Play Therapy) to help clients overcome negative life events such as family separation/divorce, loss/grief, addiction, and other sudden life or familial changes. It is easy to get stuck in survival mode; That is why it is important to support my clients by nurturing the connection between their mind and body, manage big emotions, and help them to acquire adaptive and positive coping skills.
