There’s a big difference between true self-care and indulgence. ✨
💡 Self-care is proactive—it helps prevent burnout, supports mental health, and builds resilience.
💤Indulgence is reactive—it numbs stress for the moment but doesn’t restore you.
Self-Care = Intentional practices that recharge your mind, body, and spirit.
Examples: therapy, setting boundaries, exercise, journaling, saying no.
Indulgence = Short-term pleasures that may feel good in the moment, but don’t necessarily restore you.
Examples: binge-watching for hours, emotional spending, overworking “because it feels productive.”
Key Point: Self-care sustains you. Indulgence distracts you. Both are okay, but only one builds long-term resilience.
"Self-care isn’t selfish. It’s strategy."
Both have their place. But if you’re running on empty, self-care is what will actually refill the tank.
